IWC Aquatimer IW378203

IWC has long celebrated the peerless career of legendary oceanographer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, and several special edition watches have been created over the years to support the research and conservation work of the Cousteau Society. This watch represents a particularly unique approach to the great diver's legacy by specifically remembering his indomitable research vessel, the Calypso, an ex-Royal Navy minesweeper that served as his base of operations from 1950 until 1996, a year before he died. The watch shows the ship in an engraving on the caseback, but more interesting is the tiny wooden disc set into the metal alongside it—a small fragment from the Calypso itself.

This IWC Aquatimer IW378203 has a Blue Baton dial and a Rubber strap. This IWC has undergone a thorough inspection of accuracy, functionality and condition at our IWC certified service centre to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards. It has also been checked against our records to ensure authenticity. All our watches have a 24-month warranty for your peace of mind.
